Our story
It started with a smell from Mum's kitchen.
In 2017, I came home to a rich, buttery smell from my mum's kitchen. That was my first taste of her new treat.
Friends tried it and loved it. Mum only named three ingredients — butter, biscuits, marshmallows — and "other stuff". So I named it from the two I knew best: Butter + Marshmallows = ButterMellows. Susan's, after Mum.
Now we sell over 200 jars every CNY. Many people order as early as November, because supply is limited.

Meet Mama Susan · 王素芳
She was never a baker. She has just always been good at making food.
She worked as a childcare teacher, then in retail. She retired in 2017 — the year ButterMellows began.
